Submission general information

Business Meets Technology conference is using the OCS platform of UPV Press to manage the submissions.

If you have an OCS platform account and you know how the platform works (if you need you can review Submission Guidelines), please start the submission proces clicking on the following link:

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (between 5 and 8 pages) for consideration to be included in the program of the conference. Only original papers describing previously unpublished research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, can be submitted.

All papers will be peer reviewed by the program committee. To facilitate double-blind review, please ensure that your manuscript does not reveal your identity. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings, published by UPV Press, and will be provided with ISBN code a DOI number. The submission is required by 7th July.

Papers must be written in English and must follow the instructions in the template file available in Microsoft Word format in the following link:

As said, paper length must be between 5 and 8 pages, incorporating all text, references, figures and tables. These guidelines are strict: papers failing to adhere to the guidelines (by being less than 5 or more than 8 pages, altering margins or not following the template) will be rejected without consideration of their merits. Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the conference, and present the paper.  

Simultaneously to the submission of extended abstract the author also must submit a PDF file with the Statement of Work Ownership and Assignment of Rights for The Publication of Conference Proceedings, which is available in Microsoft Word format in the following link:

Types of contributions

Please submit your paper until 07.07.2021 21.07.2021 through the platform of the conference.

Expect a notification with the acceptance of the proposal and the type of presentation a few days after.

Submission guidelines

Please, read carefully the following instructions to manage your submission. In case of questions related to the submission process please contact us at bmt@upv.es.

Step 0. Creating an account in OCS

You can skip this step if you already have an account on UPV’s OCS. If this is the case, click on the link below and then on “Click here if you already have an account with this or another conference in this site”. Then, you will be redirected to a screen for entering Business Meets Technology OCS with your already existing credentials.

Follow this link to create an account:

Complete the profile data and be sure to select the Reader and Author roles. Then click on “Create”.

As previously indicated, if you already have an account in UPV OCS, you should insert your credentials in this screen:

Step 1. Registering the paper

When you log into OCS with your credentials, you will see the following screen:

Under the name of the conference, 3rd International Conference. Business Meeys Technology, click on “Author” to access the screen with a list of your active submissions. Once you reach the list of active submissions (if you’re submitting your first paper, you will see «No Submission»), you can start a new paper submission. To do so, click on “Step one of the submission process”.

Step 2. Submitting the manuscript

The second step consists of uploading the paper. Ensure that the paper follows the instructions in the template file and remember to click on “Upload” after selecting the file before saving the progress. To facilitate double-blind review, please ensure that your manuscript does not reveal your identity.

Step 3. Entering paper details

The third step consists of entering detailed information about the authors and the paper. Please, remember to include the details for all the authors of the paper (click on “Add Author” after each author’s details are completed).

Please, ignore the last two sections about DOI and pagination (see image below). You should not write any information there.

 

Step 4: Uploading Supplementary Files

The fourth step consists of uploading the Statement of Work Ownership and Assignment of Rights for The Publication of Conference Proceedings. Repeat the process uploading one rights statement document for each of the authors.

You can identify each of the rights statement document in the supplementary files metadata screen.

Step 5: Confirming the Submission

Please, check that you uploaded the right files and that details on all authors are included before submitting the paper for review. It will not be possible to modify the submission details after this step. You can check all the files uploaded in this screen. If all is right you will be able to «Finnish Submission».

Once the process is finnished, you will be able to check the status of your «active submissions».

Congratulations, the process is complete.
